Star Citizen is coming back to Cologne! As promised, we are hosting the third official Star Citizen event during this year’s Gamescom convention. Sign up below to be among the first to see what’s next for Star Citizen. We’ve decided to up the ante for all future Star Citizen events, starting with Gamescom. In addition to a presentation showcasing Star Citizen’s next steps, you’ll meet developers from around the world, enter a cosplay contest, get your hands on exclusive Star Citizen merchandise and more. There’s going to be more to do than any previous event!
Where & When The event will take place from 8 PM to midnight on August 7th, 2015 at E-Werk Cologne, the same location as last year. The address is Schanzenstraße 37, 51063 Köln, Germany. Doors open at 5 PM, and backers will be able to interact with the team before the presentation. The venue can hold a total of 2,000 Citizens, so get your ticket today!
And if you’re in town for the party, be sure to stick around for another free Star Citizen event being held the following day. (Venue and details TBA.)
Who’s Going? In addition to staff from both of Cloud Imperium’s European studios, we will be bringing some of your favorites from Austin and Santa Monica! Attendees scheduled to attend include:
Chris Roberts
Ortwin Freyermuth
Erin Roberts
Sandi Gardiner
Ben Lesnick
David Swofford
James Pugh
Alexis Lesnick
Thomas Hennessy
Jared Huckaby
Merchandise We’re bringing back digital event items! Gamescom attendees will receive an exclusive ‘Cologne 2945’ poster for their Hangars AND a local-themed ship skin. Attendees will also receive a ‘swag bag’ of Star Citizen artifacts including the first in a series of collectible ship pins. And for the first time, limited ships will be available for purchase directly at the event for Concierge and Subscriber backers!
Digital items will be available in the pledge store for those who can’t attend closer to the event.
What to Bring Filling out the form below will generate an RSVP ticket, please remember to bring that! If you have a Citizen Card or any Star Citizen clothing, bring it! You’ll have plenty of chances to pose with Chris Roberts and the team in your Star Citizen attire. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Many of you have kindly offered gifts for the team. Unfortunately, since we’re flying back to the United States the next day we are unable to accept anything at the event. We truly appreciate the thought, though!

Tickets Gamescom tickets, available below, are $20 in order to help cover the cost of the event. Event capacity is 2,000 and German law requires a strict door list, which means this event is Backers only. Registrants must be 18+. Star Citizen events are planned exclusively for Star Citizen backers! Our event takes place during Gamescom but it is being held offsite. We do NOT require Gamescom admission tickets. Tickets will be printable closer to the day of the event, when a reminder email will be sent out to attendees. After you purchase your ticket, it can be viewed here.
