The dust has settled... The bricks are ready... And the community-created ships have now been chosen. All that remains is one legendary build-off to see which game comes out on top; Star Citizen or EVE Online. Will the Star Citizen community team shatter the hopes of EVE like they were the planets of Seyllin? Or will EVE's team make the Star Citizen crew crumble (lol, not happening) with their impressive building skills? The only way you'll find out is if you tune in!
This epic clash is set to occur on July 22nd at 17:00 UTC (10am PST) at https://www.twitch.tv/starcitizen . We'll be competing against our worthy foes, building their communities recreation of a Primae while they'll be doing their best to build a mighty Banu Merchantman, all out of bricks! All of this will be to raise money for Extra Life and the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, so be sure to come together and help us raise money for a great and worthy cause.
The team at EVE will be joining us in Manchester, UK for what is sure to be a fun... and torturous event for those who have decided to come on stream. Expect excruciating challenges ranging from eating the worlds hottest peppers, chat making a smoothie for us to drink, the dreaded LEGO walk and so much more... all the meanwhile our teams will be doing their best to build.
Be sure to tune in live, as we'll have activities planned throughout the day for viewers ranging from ship giveaways, trivia, and plenty of opportunities to further test the will power of those on stream with challenges. What is Extra Life?
Extra Life is a fundraising program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The Extra Life community fundraises year-round to Change Kids’ Health to Change the Future. Donations go to children’s hospitals to fund critical life-saving treatments and healthcare services, along with innovative research, vital pediatric medical equipment, and child life services.
Since its inception in 2008, Extra Life has raised over $100 million to Change Kids' Health to Change the Future.
Where can I donate?
You can donate directly on our campaign page here. We will have the link available on our Twitch page and can be pulled up using the command "!charity" in the Twitch chat on the day of the event.
How long will the campaign be open for?
Rather than make this a limited windowed event, we want to show that the generosity of Citizens is long-lasting and meaningful. We will be leaving the campaign open for the rest of 2022, closing it when we return back to the office in early 2023.
As such, while we dread welcome the donations meant to cause chaos on stream, if you're not able to donate at that time you'll have plenty of opportunities to do so later.
