Happy Monday, everyone!
Today, Ship Showdown Phase 1 comes to a close. Thanks again for your absolutely incredible contributions to both the Community Hub as well as on social media to elevate your favorite vehicles of the 'verse. You somehow one-up yourselves every year! Phase 2 begins this Wednesday, and we'll reveal the top 16 tomorrow, so get your votes ready to send your picks to the top.
We're also aiming to deploy a hotfix to the Live servers this week. Thanks to everyone hammering away on the patch on PTU, we couldn't do it without you! For more details on what the hotfix is aiming to address as well as how it will affect players once deployed, check out the Spectrum announcement from last week.
Separately, we know that many of you have been inquiring about the status of Alpha 3.18. We have a couple of crucial meetings planned this week for our development leadership to review the targeted 3.18 timeline. Once that has concluded, we'll be able to provide you all with a more substantial update. I can say, this plan is targeting to have a 3.18 build with Persistent Entity Streaming in player's hands by late September (Evocati rollout to start). More info soon!
Now, let's see what's going on this week:
This Tuesday, the Narrative team will be updating Star Citizen's lore library in this month's Galactapedia Update. We'll also announce the top 16 ships moving on to Phase 2 for Ship Showdown!
Wednesday has the latest Roadmap Update headed your way, complete with an accompanying Roadmap Roundup.
Ship Showdown Phase 2 also begins on Wednesday! You've made your voice heard: the top 16 vehicles have been chosen and the tournament bracket begins. Be sure to come back every day to vote to send your favorites to the top!
Thursday, we’re back with another episode of Inside Star Citizen. This week, we have an update on the status of Persistent Entity Streaming, the next major tech milestone for Star Citizen.
On Friday, you’ll receive an update to the Subscriber Vault and the weekly RSI Newsletter delivered straight to your inbox. Star Citizen Live returns on Friday as well starting at 11am Pacific / 6pm UTC. We'll have the Narrative team on the show to answer the community's questions, so be sure to get yours in on the dedicated Spectrum thread. UPDATE - Star Citizen Live has been canceled this week!
Finally, Jumptown reopens once again on Friday! Grab your gear, gather your org-mates, and get ready for some Maze mayhem. For a detailed schedule and more information on Jumptown 2.0, head over to the Dynamic Event Weekends landing page.
Have a fantastic week, and Happy Ship Showdown!
