- Participation and Entry – To submit an entry to the Contest (an “Entry” or “Contest Entry”), you must submit an original text post in English to the Community Hub as indicated in the Contest Announcement satisfying all of the requirements of these Rules and the RSI Terms, including those described in Section 4 below. The content of a Contest Entry must abide by the Terms including Sections IV (Rules of Conduct) and XIII (Intellectual Property) (see: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/tos#rules_of_conduct – https://robertsspaceindustries.com/tos#intellectual_property). Each unique text post constitutes a Contest Entry as long as all the individual and applicable criteria are met for both the submission and its content as well as any other requirements for the post as indicated in these Rules or the Announcement. Each Contest Entry is associated with the Participant who submitted it. Group submissions are not valid and will not be considered. A user submitting an Entry under multiple Accounts is considered a single Participant. A Contest Entry must be submitted by the individual who created it; submitting a Contest Entry that was created by another person is grounds for disqualification (see Section 11 below). A Contest Entry is deemed received on the date and time in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) indicated on the submission’s posting on the Community Hub, and is invalid if its date or time of submission falls outside the Contest Duration.
- General Entry Requirements – A post submitting Contest Entries must 1) include one horror story in text on the subject matter specified in the Contest Announcement; 2) include the following title: ‘Horror Story 2955’ and be submitted to the Community Hub, 3) Does not include AI-generated content. If a winner accepts a prize, the winner consents to the use of his or her name, image, likeness, photograph, voice, and biographical material for advertising, publicity, and promotional purposes by RSI, in perpetuity and in any and all media now or hereafter devised without any further compensation, notification, or permission, to the extent admissible by applicable law. For their consideration as Contest Entries, you agree that your postings of your submissions including all their related materials and content are User Generated Content (“UGC”) as defined in the RSI Terms.
- Determination of Winner – On or by Monday, November 10, 2025, RSI staff (the “Judges”) will select three (3) winning Entries from among the eligible Contest Entries on the Community Hub based on quality, creativity, execution, and fear factor, and the winners will be the respective Participant(s) submitting said Entries. RSI reserves the right to adapt or edit any or all aspects or content of the winning submitted content at its sole discretion for posting on the RSI Services. Any given Participant may only be awarded for at most one winning Entry during the entire Contest as a whole. Pledging on the RSI website does not affect or increase the chances of winning. Winners must confirm and verify their RSI Account handle to the Judges if such is not already clearly associated with their Contest Entry.
- Prizes – Eligible Participants who submit the winning Contest Entries to the Community Hub as determined by the Judges will be awarded prizes on their RSI Account as indicated within this section.
