The Krēl system is a planetary system that reportedly consists of one star of unknown type and nine planets. Located along the border of the Xi'an Empire (SaoXy'an), it is the home system of the Kr'thak and is thought to be the center of their civilization. Any existing data on the Krēl system is kept classified by the Xi'an government, and has not been released despite repeated diplomatic requests.
Because the Kr'thak have yet to establish first contact with the United Empire of Earth (UEE), it has yet to be visited by Humans or Tevarin and there is little information available on its history or composition. There is no evidence that it has been visited by the Banu, although it is possible that they did so before Xi'an and UEE historians began documenting their history.
