The Vulture system (designated VS-09 by the United Empire of Earth (UEE)) is a Vanduul-controlled planetary system that shares a jump point with the Orion system. It is included in UEE star charts as a part of Vanduul territory, but all other details on it are classified.
In SEY 2712 on 16 February, thousands of Vanduul ships erupted from the previously-unknown jump point and initiated the Battle of Orion. After two days of fighting, the UEE was forced to retreat and cede Orion to the Vanduul.
